The Wondrous World of Dr.Seuss

Did you have a favourite Dr.Seuss book as a child? Mine was Green Eggs and Ham. That was the first Dr. Seuss book I bought for Samantha. The melodic rhyming, repetition and dreamy tales of imaginary creatures in all of Dr. Seuss books have contributed to both Samantha and Madison's love of reading and story telling.

There are many benefits to reading Dr.Seuss books for both your children and yourself. The sounds of the words, rhymes and highly entertaining and silly storylines make these books appealing to children at any age.

Reading Dr.Seuss books to your baby helps develop their language skills laying the foundation for learning to read. The rhymes and repetition create sentences that roll off your tongue while the colourful pictures keeps a baby entertained and engaged.

As your child grows into a toddler, they will have a new found love for these treasured stories. They will move from just loving the way the stories sound to actually understanding the stories and giggling to the humour they contain.
